The Apollo is our choice take on Phase.
With its warm analog 4-stage core, feature packed yet simple interface, and streamline aesthetic the Apollo is phasing reimagined. Equipped with our proprietary tap tempo microprocessor and tap multiplier the Apollo can quickly be adjusted to add a subtle motion to your playing or a rapid staccato swirl that lifts and drops you like an off track roller coaster. Three distinct waveform settings along with eight different rhythmic modes further expand the Apollo's tonal textures and possibilities. Use the Randomizer setting to punctuate your playing with magically inconsistent phase shifts or the Manual mode to control the phase sweep itself, via an external expression pedal, for the most unique take on wah you have ever heard. Rather than being painted into a corner the Apollo is your creative canvas, giving you ultimate say in the construction of your ideal vision of phase.
Features and Controls
Depth: In Sine and Randomizer wave settings, the Depth knob controls the width of the phaser effect, while in Manual mode, it controls the actual sweep of the effect.
EXP(Expression Pedal Input):You can connect an expression pedal to the Apollo replacing the depth control for on the fly adjustment or manual control. We recommend using the M-Audio EXP or Mission EP-1R expression pedals.
Mode: This knob selects between 8 different phaser modes allowing for patterns and rhythmic accents as described below. Standard phaser operation is set when turned fully counter-clockwise.
Regen: Controls the amount of regeneration (feedback) in the phaser effect. Turn this knob clockwise to increase the regeneration, and counterclockwise to decrease the regeneration.
Wave Switch: Selects between Sine, Randomizer and Manual wave modes. The Sine setting provides smooth, even phase tones. The Randomizer setting selects a randomly stepped waveform and the Manual setting cuts the LFO allowing you to control the phaser much like you would a wah with an expression pedal or the depth knob. In this mode, you can either control the sweep with your foot or dial in a fixed phase/filter tone.
1-2-4 Switch: In standard speed mode, this switch sets the tempo range from slow to fast. In tap mode, this switch multiplies the tapped tempo by 1, 2, or 4.
Speed: The rate of the phaser effect can be set using either the Tap switch or speed knob. To enter tap mode, simply press the tap switch to set the rate, adjusting the speed knob returns to standard speed mode.
Bypass Switch: Allows you to engage or bypass the effect. The Apollo is 100% true bypass.
Tap Switch: Pressing the tap switch enters the tap tempo mode and sets the tremolo speed.
